Union Ink PLUS-9000 Curable Reducer

PLUS-9000 is a special "balanced" reducer that is used to thin the viscosity of plastisol inks. It contains both resin and plasticizer which helps maintain the balance of plastisol when reducer is added. It should be added in small quantities as needed. Generally for short print runs it is not necessary to reduce the entire container of ink. Just the top portion can be reduced.

Because plastisol inks will tend to stiffen slightly when sitting, they should be stirred BEFORE THINNING to break down this "false body" to see how thin the ink really is.

Plus-9000 contains a special DETACKIFIER. Detackifiers help inks prints better when printing wet-on-wet because less ink will stick to the bottom of the screens.

Generally, no more than 10% to 15% reducer should be added to the plastisol. Reducing plastisol will also diminish the inks opacity.
